Michael Zuraw

Michael Zuraw's versatility as a performer has earned him prizes as both a soloist and collaborative artist.  He is a consecutive two-time winner of the Silberman Chamber Music competition and has gathered many honors in solo performance.  In 1996 Mr. Zuraw was a winner of the Pittsburgh Concert Society Auditions, which presented him in recital at Duquesne University.  Further Performances include a Young Artist Concert at the Aspen Music Festival and numerous solo, vocal, and chamber performances in Houston, Dallas, Pittsburgh, Freeport, and Chicago.  Mr. Zuraw gave the premiere performance of John Richey's Variations (1993), which was later recorded and released by Capstone records.  A graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, University of Illinois, and Carnegie Mellon University, Mr. Zuraw earned his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at Rice University.  He is currently on the faculty at St. John's School in Houston.
