Patrick Moore

Patrick Moore has performed as a chamber musician, soloist, and orchestral musician throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe. Patrick began his studies on the cello at the age of nine. His principal teachers were Lynn Harrell, Alex Ezerman, and Barbara Haffner. He began his college education at Texas Tech University and later transferred to Roosevelt University to complete his Bachelor of Music degree. While in Chicago he was a member of the quintet in residency with the Chicago City Colleges. He recently completed his Master’s degree from Rice University in 2007. He has participated in several prestigious festivals including Round Top Music Festival, The Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan, The Manchester Music Festival, and The American Institute of Musical Studies in Austria. Patrick has been playing professionally for several years and began his career at the age of 17 with the Midland/Odessa Symphony and Chorale. He has also played with the prestigious New World Orchestra, which he still subs with, and The Civic Orchestra of Chicago. An avid chamber musician, Patrick plays with the Atlantic Quartet and has just begun working with the Ixia Trio as well. Currently, Patrick plays and teaches throughout the Houston area.
