Phillip D. Hall is a pianist celebrated for his multifaceted and prodigious skills as a collaborator and musical director. Having served as keyboardist for Aretha Franklin, and having performed for presidents George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton Mr. Hall has dedicated the greater part of his musical career to devotional music and jazz. Together with vocalist Barbara Tucker, he has given performances from Georgia to Hawaii. Mr, Hall has musically directed and performed in several productions of Fats Waller’s Ain’t Misbehavin’ – a score that has special appeal to him because of its gospel and jazz characteristics. Mr. Hall can also be heard performing in the Phil Hall Trio, which performs in Texas for both public and private events.
